Let me introduce you the angriest, bloodiest dictators of human history. Play with them, learn about them and don't forget that they were real and they made many people's life miserable. This is an exciting card game about serious topics.

Aims of the tool

The main aim is to show how terrible things were done in the past by humans, who thought they know everything. This knowledge can be prevention for the future, thing like that should never happen again. It is important that this "game" is a good base to start a conversation, debate, workshop, etc. about human rights issues.

Description of the tool

Dictator-Card is like car/motorbike/etc. quartet card games. Every dictator has "values" in the same topics. In every round the biggest value wins. The aim is to collect all the cards.
Steps:
1. Introduce the game, try to balance, the participants should feel the seriousness of the topic, but let them "play", it will be easier for them to deal with the tension, like that.
2. Divide the pack into as many parts as the number of the players.
3. Every player gets her/his pack, but she/he doesn't know which dictators are in it. The hold their pack faced down. They should turn the card on the top, in every round.
4. The players have to decide, who will start. Maybe the youngest person, or they should roll a dice, or agree about a topic and see who's value is the highest on the top card, etc.
5. The starting player calls a topic from her/his card and tell her/his value. The others check the same topic on their cards. The highest value wins (there is an exception, with type of rule, there is a guide for that in the .zip file with the cards). If there is a draw (2 or more players has the same highest values), there is a "battle". The players in the draw should count their top 3 cards and see the original topic on the 4th. Highest wins :-)
6. The game is finished, when somebody collects all the cards (or the players get bored).
7. If you have time you should finish with a conversation about the feelings of the players, what did they know about this historical topics, were there any surprises, etc.
